Studio City, California, 1993 May 5. On pictorial stationery imprinted with her name to comedienne and actress Phyllis Diller. Begins: "Hi Phyllis". In full: "Received two notes from your office expressing regrets about donations and/or support signatures for animal-rights legislation. Please know that I don't expect donations from the 'stars' on my list...but somehow I felt they might appreciate being informed about our efforts to ease the suffering of animals. Meanwhile, of course, I shall have your name removed from our mailing list. It was fun seeing you at JoAnne Carson's home. Lookin' good!* Regards". Handwritten postscript: "* And, last night a 'Whoopi'!" Lightly creased with folds, lower horizontal fold at the upper loop of the "G". Fine condition. Lightly creased, slightly soiled. In 1991, Wyler founded The Ark Trust, Inc. (an Ark is pictured on this stationery), which presents the annual Genesis Awards for animal protection. In 2002, the organization merged with the Humane Socieity of the United States to become The Humane Society of the United States Hollywood Office.
